Director of McDonough Cole Legal, practising across all of the firm's areas of law.

Oliver Cole, Director of McDonough Cole Legal

Oliver completed his Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice at Flinders University and was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia. He has built significant experience across a broad range of legal matters.

He spent a number of years at the Legal Services Commission, representing some of the most vulnerable members of the community, before moving into private practice at Almeida + Associates in 2017. Oliver became principal of McDonough Cole Legal in January 2023, taking over the practice from Christopher McDonough.

Oliver practises across all areas of criminal law, including traffic and drink driving, serious drug offences, assaults, firearms offences and murder. He also acts in wills, estate planning and deceased estates, and in minor civil matters. Before his retirement, Chris McDonough worked closely with Oliver on wills and estates, passing on his knowledge so the firm's estate clients continue to receive the same standard of care.

He appears regularly in the Magistrates Court, District Court and Supreme Court of South Australia, and in the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT). He can also appear interstate.

Oliver is known within the legal system as a determined lawyer who takes pride in positive results and client satisfaction. He is committed to giving a high level of service with a compassionate approach, so clients feel understood and well informed about their matters.
